I have been completing an Equine Podiatry course with Sylvia Nemeth-Kornherr from EPC Solutions via Skype.

I would say to everyone that if you get the chance to do one of EPC courses do it, as I guarantee it will be one of the most interesting, educational & beneficial things you can do for your career as a hoof care provider.

For me, the course has been designed to suit my needs & there has been a lot of emphasis on radiographs & marking up of radiographs for farriery purposes, but our discussions have also covered farriery, anatomy, laminitis & so much more.

Sylvia is really knowledgeable & great educator with really interesting, detailed & supported course material. She's also a great person & I can't thank her enough for making these courses available.

It has been 5 years since I have met Sylvia and it is impossible to express and describe her kindness, love for horses and the amazing drive to help others in one paragraph here.

Sylvia has helped me not only to grow as a trimmer but she has also taught me to question what I am doing, why I am doing it and look at my results with honest and critical eyes.  She has taught me to be more open minded to other ways and approaches and to accept different ways and opinions.  She is a teacher that doesn't rest till she is sure that you understand the subject, issue or technique before she moves onto another subject. 

There is a quote that says: "People will forget what you did, people will forget what you said but people will never forget how you made them feel." And what I can say about Sylvia's approach to teaching and helping others is that she makes you feel damn special! 

Thank you Sylvia for all your endless patience, help and support when I have hit a dead end. Thank you for always being there to give advice and kick my butt into the right direction. Thank you for making me question what I am doing and asking the not so easy questions about my own work. You have helped not only me but you have helped many horses my hands have ever touched and you helped owners to whom I could pass your knowledge that you have so kindly and generously shared with me. 

I am always touched by your care and the unbelievable enthusiasm to help and make a difference. I am very grateful to you for everything you have ever done for me.

I attended the seminar Sylvia presented to the Ottawa Valley Hunt Club.
Sylvia is obviously very knowledgeable and passionate
about her research in the field of hoof care, nutrition and vet care.
